Welcome to Everything Under The Sun Farm . We are located 30 minutes north of Lumsden, Saskatchewan. We have put our farms policy up business plan and much more .
Policy:
Health: Our food has no added preservatives or chemicals for the health and safety of the people
ENVIRONMENT: our farm is well protected and we are responsible of it and we have all the things that we need for our environment .
ANIMAL WASTE: we use animal waste to fertilize the crop
Business Plan:
Everything Under the Sun Farm sells its products locally at the store on our farm. The store is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm (we need the morning and evenings to get our chores done). In the Summer we also have a table at the farmers market on Thursday in Regina and Sundays at the Manitou Beach Flea Market where we sell or Lentils, Peas and flax seed. We also attend special events like Agribition, Farms progress show and the Cathedral Arts Festival.
Everything Under the Sun also has its own licensed Grain elevator which we use to load railway hopper cars and semi trucks to send our products such as wheat, canola, flax and corn to flour mills and ethanol plants, and oilseed crushing facilities to be further processed.
Our food is certified organic, local and fresh which makes it "better" for your you health, and we think you will find it tastes better than any grocery store.
If you have any questions we can be reached at (306) 555-1234 or email us at Buyourcrops@Everythingunderthesun.com or follow us on twitter @Skfarmgirls .
Ecological Plan:
We kept the wildflowers in a designated section for Honey bees who produce honey and pollinate our crops. Tree and bushes are kept as shelter for eagles and wolves to as natural predators to control birds, mice, and deer which could damage our crops. Trees and bushes also act as shelter to stop wind erosion of our soil. We kept grass lands around the ponds and river as natural riparian zones to slow drainage and control water erosion as well as natural habitat for wild ducks and other animals.
